You might have to add extra insulation to prevent problems. Plastic doesn't conduct electricity. If you use plastic nuts and bolts on your electrical products, then the fixings won't have any impact at all.

While the unit cost of a nut and bolt set might be small, your costs add up if you use a lot of fixings on a product and you manufacture in bulk. Typically, metal nuts and bolts are a more expensive option. Plastic nuts and bolts are cheaper to manufacture. So, their costs are lower.
